The temporary exhibition “Madeira and the Winds of Emigration” will be open to the public, at the Madeira Ethnographic Museum, in Ribeira Brava, from April 9th to 27th. The temporary exhibition, curated by former journalist Sara Moura, made up of 85 photographs, some previously unpublished, portrays the reality of the Region in the first three quarters of the 20th century, and the daily lives of its people who, living in a reality marked by the gap between rich and poor, they were forced to emigrate in search of better living conditions, ending up taking the name and cultural heritage of Madeira across borders.
