This activity is part of the “Sustainable Museum” Project, which aims to promote human awareness effects activity on the environment and highlight the museums role in the development of new methods of thinking and acting, which guarantee the respect for the limits and diversity of nature.

Because reuse is a priority and because the museum intends to transmit to young people the need to rethink the way we act, protecting the environment and promoting a sustainable life, different activities are organized within this project, throughout all year round, using material reuse.

In this context, during the Christmas season, the museum educational services promote a display of cribs prepared by the Schools, Homes for the Elderly, Special Education Institutions, Cultural Centers, Occupation Centers for Free Times, Houses of the People and Parish Councils.

With this year's exhibition, the Educational Services intend to keep the tradition of the stairway crib alive, encouraging creativity and educating for the reuse of materials.
