10:00 am - Thematic visit: Patrimony under construction (a collection)

This Thematic Visit aims to establish dialogues based on the principle of mediation with the aim of deepening knowledge about the museum artistic and architectural patrimony, with a special focus on its collection consisting of Portuguese Contemporary Art, from the 60s of the 20th century to the days of today, triggered by the initial nucleus: the Plastic Arts Awards collection of the City of Funchal, an event that took place in 1966 and 1967 and whose initiatives brought to Madeira some of the most distinguished art critics of the time, such as Rui Mário Gonçalves, José Augusto França and Nelson Di Maggio, referring to the latter, having been “an authentic artistic event, not only for the islanders, but for the entire Portuguese cultural sphere.

2:00 pm - Thematic visit: The power of heritage and culture.

A conversation on a visit to the spaces of MUDAS.Museum where its heritage, preservation, enhancement and management gather the focus of attention. Based on the project designed by the architect Paulo David, inaugurated in October 2004, which integrated the former “Morgadio do Vale de Amores”, owned by Duarte de Brito and Dona Joana Cabral, great-granddaughter of João Gonçalves Zarco, discoverer of Madeira. The Heritage that simply disappears, for convenience, carelessness or lack of responsibility versus the built Heritage that values ​​and preserves the existing heritage, perpetuating our history and the stories that characterize a people.

4:00 pm - Thematic visit: Thinking differently.

In this visit we challenge the participants to think about Man in Society. A proposal for an immersive visit that uses contemporary art as a tool for reflection, confronting the (pre)concepts of the social being: ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and identity, socioeconomic background, level of education, physical ability, political affiliation, religious beliefs, and... many other diversities that define us.

Creative workshop: “communication and its POD(ER)ES”. 
A workshop focused on the powers of communication, art and culture. Artistic creation and its challenges throughout history. In man's need to communicate, to do, to repeat and to rehearse various possibilities to improve and achieve personal satisfaction. The characteristic, eminently human, of creating, changing, altering, innovating, surprising others and oneself.
In this workshop, in addition to the thematic visit, the participants develop practical work, so that they, creators, feel the need to change, improve and repeat in the difficulty of surprising.

Thematic workshop: “in focus” (photography - analogue versus digital)
A thematic journey on analogue versus digital photography. A conversation about the works of Julião Sarmento, Lourdes de Castro, Suzanne Themlitz, Daniel Blaufuks, Cláudio Garrudo, among others, to understand the importance of photography as a privileged means of recording reality in its most diverse meanings. I also focus on the importance of the technical domain in the consubstantiation of conceptions/intentions and in achieving the plastic result.
