Since the Manor and the chapel were built, parents have confided to their children, generation after generation, that the founder had left behind the necessary amount of money, hidden in an unknown location, to pay for the rebuild of a similar chapel if ever necessary. Believing this to be a fact, heirs, at different times, have made excavations and conducted research, which, however, always proved to be fruitless. Yet, nothing has ever shaked this conviction and it is believed that only when the house and chapel are really destroyed, will the money be found. Will it ever be found?
