Irish nobleman, who was staying at the Reid's Palace Hotel, was descended from John Clotworthy (f. 1665), an important Anglo-Irish politician during the Eleven Years War (Ireland, between 1641 and 1653).Visconde Massereene is a title of the Peerage of Ireland, created in 1660, based at Chilham Castle, near Canterbury, Kent.
