Tribute to the musicians of Madeira Island.

“The show 'Made in Madeira' returns to the stage on a date to be announced, at the “Centro de Congressos da Madeira”, revealed the Regional Secretary for Tourism and Culture, Eduardo Jesus, after being premiered on September 27th, as part of the World Tourism Day celebrations .

The concert was directed and produced by the “Direção Regional da Cultura” team, featuring 15 musicians on stage, who, for an hour and a half, interpreted themes by Madeiran composers that have marked several generations.

Vasco Freitas, Miguel Pires, Sofia Ferreira, Vânia Fernandes, Tiago Sena Silva and Sofia Almeida gave voice to the songs made by the famous João Paulo Group, the Freitas Brothers, Gabriel Cardoso, Sérgio Borges, Max, Tony Cruz, among others.

For Eduardo Jesus, this show “represents, the versatility of Madeiran musicians and composers who so well knew how to take Madeira's name nationally and internationally. Tourism and Culture owe a lot to these artists who were able to express, either through lyrics or music, our way of welcoming, friendliness and our experiences, with notes of good humor and good mood ”.
