The “Festas de São João” are one of the Porto Santo island biggest tourist attractions, an event integrated into the “Festas do Concelho” whose celebrations take place from the 15th to the 26th of June. 
The peak of these festivities culminates with the “Marchas Populares”, in which several groups are dressed to norm and parade through the city main arteries, surrounded by the sound of popular music and the characteristic basil and bonfires smell.
