The Madeira International Fireworks Contest includes three pyromusical shows which take place on the first three Saturdays of June and can be seen along the entire bay of Funchal over 20 minutes. This edition ounts on the participation of pyrotechnic companies from three countries: France, Mexico and Switzerland. The objective is to attain the “Atlantic Trophy”, awarded by a jury, as well as the “Madeira Belongs to All Trophy” awarded by the public.

The vote can be cast in tombolas placed in the La Vie Shopping Centre, at the Tourist Office of the Regional Tourism Board in Avenida Arriaga, as well as at the Funchal Pier, the night of the show.In Praça do Povo, in Funchal, in addition tothe event programme, a weekly summer sunset will take place.
From Thursday to Sunday, from 16:00 to 00:00, a small market with regional flavours and entertainment, consisting of music performances and dance shows.
