Throughout the month of June 2024, the Madeira Regional Government / Regional Secretariat for Tourism and Culture, through the Regional Directorate of Culture, presents the first edition of "Ópera no Pico", an event that will take place at the São João Baptista do Pico Fortress - Funchal, as part of the official program of the Atlantic Festival 2024.
The aim of this new project is to promote an accessible cultural experience, with the aim of facilitating access to opera performances, which are usually not very accessible to the majority of the population, and which are aimed at all tastes and ages, and to enliven one of the most important public spaces in the city of Funchal, which will also allow the spectators of the various performances to enjoy a unique panoramic view of the bay where the pyromusical shows will take place.
The performances take place on Saturdays, always at 9 p.m. For ease of access, the venue doors open at 8 p.m.

- Madeira Forum (central counter)
- Pico Fortress (on the day of each performance)
The capacity of each show is limited to 200 people and this event is not recommended for people with reduced mobility.
