It is a French origin game, which today we only watch it in the cinema or on television, when we are told stories from ancient times. That game still exists at “Solar de São Cristóvão”.

All it needs is a field of grass, about twelve meters long and seven meters wide and… a lot of aim. It consists of eleven iron arches that are fixed to the floor, a bell suspended from one of these arches, two wooden stumps, also fixed to the ground, four wooden clubs, (reminiscent of golf clubs) and four wooden balls. It can be played by four, three or two people and has very strict rules.
