The Golden Hall of the Calçada Palace, owned by the Counts of Calçada, the Ornelas de França Carvalhal Frazão Figueiroa family, was a formal area that preceded the Great Ballroom, furnished with chairs, armchairs, a settee, console tables, a showcase and a mirror, in the Louis XVI style, in walnut wood, carved and gilded, in addition to two mirrors with the coat of arms of the Count of Calçada.

This eye-catching set was transferred to the Great Hall of the São Lourenço Palace, after being acquired in an auction occurred in the middle of March 1941. Since then, the Calçada Palace became the residence of the Madeiran lawyer and notary Dr. Frederico Augusto de Freitas.
