Grandparents’ Day is a tribute to all grandparents, showing them how much they mean to their family members and to thank their support and dedication in raising a family. This date came originally from Portugal and it was Ana Elisa Couto who made possible a day specifically dedicated to celebrating the figure of grandparents in everyone’s lives. It was officially approved by the Portuguese National Assembly in 2003.
