The Municipality of Ponta do Sol celebrates its 521st anniversary on September 8th, therefore it being a municipal holiday. On this date, are also celebrated the festivities in honour of Nossa Senhora da Luz, patron saint of the locality, are also celebrated. The John Ddos Passos Cultural Center addresses congratulations to all Ponta- Solenses.
