103 years ago, Maximiano de Sousa was born in Madeira (b. 20/01/1918; d. 29/05/1980), singer, composer and actor, known worldwide as3 Max.
A tailor by profession, he soon awakened to the world of music, namely in performances in the main hotels in the city of Funchal. Later, in Lisbon, he asserted himself as a musician with hits such as "A Mula da Cooperativa"; "Bailinho da Madeira"; "Noites da Madeira" and "Rosinha dos Limões", among others, becoming a star on radio, theater and television.
Charismatic and with an interpretation, sometimes comical, he charmed the public’s attencion and was one of the great ambassadors of Madeira in the world.
