On this day, 52 years ago, Anny Ginette Lucienne Legras visits the island of Madeira. The actress and currently also a French writer, better known by her artistic name, Anny Duperey, came between the 15th and 19th of February 1969, at the invitation of the Madeira Tourism Delegation, staying at the Hotel Savoy. Born on June 28, 1947, she graduated from the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Paris, and stepped onto the big stages for the first time in 1965, with the play “Les trois mariages de Melanie”. She made her film debut the following year, with the film «Jerk à Instanbul», directed by Francis Rigaud, but it will be with a film by the director JeanLuc Godard, entitled «Deux ou trois choses que je sais d'elle» that stars in her first lead role. She participates, around this time, in her first television programs. In 1976, she embarked on writing, the year in which she launched the book “L'admiroir”, which won her a prize from the French Academy. On television, she makes her debut in a series called “Une famille formidable”. In addition to participating in this series, she continues to write and participate in films and other television series. She is distinguished in 1997, with the Legion of Honor, in the degree of Knight, having been promoted to Officer of the same in 2012.
