These container’s heaters, with copper braziers and wooden handles, were used in wealthier homes to heat beds. 
The cylindrical body of the opens in half, through a hinge, allowing the placement of coal at the bottom. 
After the coal was on fire, the heater was placed between the sheets. The holes in the upper part made it possible to radiate heat and warm the bed.
