Some notes about Pedro Portugal featured under the rubric Um dia, uma obra (“One day, one work").

Pedro Portugal was born in Castelo Branco (1963), where he attended a technical course in Civil Construction at the Industrial and Commercial School of Castelo Branco. He moved to Lisbon in 1978, where he attended the Painting course at the College of Fine Arts (1980/85).

His works are present in the most important public and private collections in Portugal, such as the collection of Banco Espírito Santo, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Luso-American Foundation, Serralves Foundation, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Culture, MUDAS. Madeira Contemporary Art Museum and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, as well as in the private collection of the Queen of Norway.

In 2001, he directed Manuel João Vieira's election campaign to the presidency of the Portuguese republic.
