The Kiss of Peace (osculatorium, instrumentum pacis) was used in the Christian liturgy as a symbol of fraternal and reverential love. It is a symbol of reconciliation and joy in God. It was only omitted on Holy Thursday, as well as in Requiem Masses. Learn more about the Pax at the Quinta das Cruzes Museum
