Household items
In the past, there were no washbasins with running water for washing hands and face, and intimate hygiene was done in the bedroom, with jugs and bowls, in traditional washbasins, sometimes using sponges or damp cloths.
In drying, the so-called “washcloth towels” were used, which were made with narrowleaf flax, woven on the traditional loom and embroidered by hand.
